Jingle Mingle Hosted by Friends of Voices
We’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and helped make our Jingle Mingle on Wednesday, December 7th a great success! Donations from guests totaled nearly $1,200 in the form of gift cards and cash, which will allow us to purchase more gift cards for the youth we serve.
Many thanks to our wonderful Friends of Voices, who organized and hosted this fun event. Thanks also to Three Kings Public House for such a great venue for the party, and for donating yummy appetizers, drink specials and use of their party room.
Voices serves youth in foster care from birth to age 21, and about half of them are age 13 or older. This event’s gift card drive means so much to our older youth because it ensures there is something for them in the midst of all the toys and younger-kid items donated to our general holiday gift drive. We know for some of these youth a gift card from their Voices advocate may be the only holiday gift they receive. This simple gift reminds them that someone really does care about them and allows them to pick out a special gift that will be just what they want!

Voice of Hope Breakfast
Guests enjoyed breakfast at the Frontenac Hilton while hearing firsthand accounts of the life-changing advocacy Voices provides for children in foster care.
Family Affair Movie Screening and Discussion with Filmmaker
Voices advocates and members of the community saw this powerful documentary and discussed with filmmaker Chico Colvard the challenges his family faced and how the children served by CASA advocates must deal with similar issues.
Friends of Voices Speak Up Run for CASA Kids

The Friends of Voices’ trivia night in October 2009 raised over $3,000.
Mr. Guy Women’s Store Trunk Show
Carla Felumb’s trunk show at her shop in Ladue in September 2009 raised almost $3,000 for Voices.
Wine with Friends
Friends of Voices raised funds and friends at their wine tasting event at Branica Wine Bar in Kirkwood in April 2009.
The 4th Annual Voices for Children Benefit
The May 2009 benefit held at Windows on Washington raised $135,000.
2008 Events
Friends of Voices Holiday Party
Friends of Voices hosted a party at Morgan Street Brewery on the Landing to benefit teens in foster care. The December 2008 event provided holiday gifts for many many of our foster youth.
Friends of Voices 1st Trivia Night
The Friends of Voices first trivia night in July 2008 raised over $4,000.
The 3rd Annual Voices for Children Benefit
The June 2008 benefit held at Windows on Washington raised $195,000.
Friends of Voices Launch Party
The April 2008 party to launch Friends of Voices held at Sky Box on the Landing brought many new friends to Voices and raised over $900.
